California Fishing Regulations and License Costs

California fishing regulations are divided in districts with different regulations for each. You will also find numerous river and location specific regulations. Pay attention to each body of water and watch out for changes. We have river level California fishing regulations on our floater guide pages. We do not cover the bays or oceans at this time though. The state also will implement emergency restrictions on salmon and steelhead fisheries when needed.
