Canada – Much like the US, Canada is huge and the list of rivers is expansive with opportunities in multiple provinces.
Mexico – Don’t underestimate the quality opportunities here. They have great waterfalls for kayakers and even multiday runs through some seriously remote country. Mexico has incredible whitewater and wild rivers.

Nicaragua – The wild whitewater found in other Central American countries is almost non-existent here but the country has some unique flatwater paddling for adventurous folks.
Costa Rica – Water rich with some great rivers draining into both the Pacific and Carribean. Plan on paddling alongside monkeys, exotic birds and crocodiles on many of these rivers.
Panama – This narrow strip of land is well known for off-shore fishing but it has a surprising amount of whitewater as well.
South America Whitewater Rivers
Venezuela –
Colombia – The area around San Gil is a whitewater mecca and the country itself is like the wild west of whitewater. Big rivers with raging Class V runs are not uncommon and the local paddlers get after it here.
Ecuador – They have it all – jungles, mountains and coastal systems all packed into a beautiful country that is easy to navigate.
Peru – The Andes are steep and the rivers cutting through long, deep canyons are for serious paddlers. Multiple famous day trips and multidays draw paddlers from around the world.

Chile – Chile is a magnate for whitewater with thousands of rivers dumping off the Andes in a rush to reach the Pacific. From the famed Futaleufu to the waterfalls of Pucon, there is something for everyone in this beautiful country.
