Beaverhead River – A narrow, meandering river near Dillon, Montana with some very large trout.

Big Hole River – A favorite trout fishery in southwest Montana.

Bighorn River – SE part of the state. Dense trout populations below Yellowtail dam and Class I water.

Bitterroot – Low gradient river running through a scenic valley with great fishing.

Blackfoot – Famous from the movie A River Runs Through It. Great freestone trout fishery in NW Montana.

Boulder River (Big Timber) – Fast flowing with pocket water and rugged terrain. Great little fishery.

Clark Fork – Montana’s biggest river by volume. It has some great whitewater and fishing.

Dearborn River – Awesome river with a short float season near the Missouri river.

Flathead – Info for the North Fork, South Fork, Middle Fork and main stem above and below Flathead Lake.

Gallatin River – A whitewater and fishing gem that starts in Yellowstone National Park and runs through the Bozeman area to the Missouri river headwaters.

Jefferson River – The Beaverhead and Big Hole come together to form the Jefferson in Twin Bridges.

Kootenai River – A scenic gem in northwest MT. Great fishing and floating opportunities.

Madison River – A famous fishery that lives up to it’s name. Located in SW MT and originating in Yellowstone National Park.

Missouri River – From the famous trout fishery below Holter Dam to the Wild and Scenic then on to Fort Peck. The Mighty Mo is a special place.

Rock Creek – Fast paced drainage in a remote setting with great fishing and an early float season
